About this Author:

Rainbow Rowell writes books. Sometimes she writes about adults (ATTACHMENTS and LANDLINE). Sometimes she writes about teenagers (ELEANOR & PARK and FANGIRL). But she always writes about people who talk a lot. And people who feel like they’re screwing up. And people who fall in love. When she’s not writing, Rainbow is reading comic books, planning Disney World trips and arguing about things that don’t really matter in the big scheme of things. She lives in Nebraska with her husband and two sons.

I remember being obsessed with the Chronicles in Narnia in elementary school and I have never reread a book ,but would love to reread a lot of my favorite books ,but I have no desire to reread this.

Day 11 (A book that you hated)

Thirteen Reasons Why by: Jay Asher
Goodreads Summary:

This book is pretty much about a girl that commits suicide and sends thirteen tapes out. In each of these tapes Hanna explains one reason why she killed herself.

Day 10 (Favorite Classic)

Favorite Classic

Chocolate War by: Robert Cormier

~ I’m not finished with this book yet and it’s my first classic ,but so far i’m LOVING it.

Goodreads Summary:

Jerry Renault ponders the question on the poster in his locker: Do I dare disturb the universe? Refusing to sell chocolates in the annual Trinity school fund-raiser may not seem like a radical thing to do. But when Jerry challenges a secret school society called The Vigils, his defiant act turns into an all-out war. Now the only question is: Who will survive? First published in 1974, Robert Cormier’s groundbreaking novel, an unflinching portrait of corruption and cruelty, has become a modern classic.

Day 09 (Book I thought I wouldn’t like, but ended up loving)

Book I thought I wouldn’t like, but ended up loving

Faking Normal By: Courtney C. Stevens ( trigger warning for self harm and rape)

– I LOVE THIS BOOK! It’s not the happiest read out there, but it’s amazing. I didn’t think I would like it because a lot of my friends don’t and we have similar reading tastes.

Goodreads Summary:

Alexi Littrell hasn’t told anyone what happened to her over the summer. Ashamed and embarrassed, she hides in her closet and compulsively scratches the back of her neck, trying to make the outside hurt more than the inside does.

When Bodee Lennox, the quiet and awkward boy next door, comes to live with the Littrells, Alexi discovers an unlikely friend in “the Kool-Aid Kid,” who has secrets of his own. As they lean on each other for support, Alexi gives him the strength to deal with his past, and Bodee helps her find the courage to finally face the truth.

Rating: 5/5

Day 08 (Most Overrated Book)

Most Overrated Book

Eleanor and Park by: Rainbow Rowell

– I know so many people LOVE this book, but i just didn’t enjoy it. I thought Eleanor was annoying. I didn

Goodreads Summary:

Two misfits.
One extraordinary love.

Eleanor… Red hair, wrong clothes. Standing behind him until he turns his head. Lying beside him until he wakes up. Making everyone else seem drabber and flatter and never good enough…Eleanor.

Park… He knows she’ll love a song before he plays it for her. He laughs at her jokes before she ever gets to the punch line. There’s a place on his chest, just below his throat, that makes her want to keep promises…Park.

Set over the course of one school year, this is the story of two star-crossed sixteen-year-olds—smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone Series Review

Daughter of Smoke and Bone Series by: Laini Taylor

This series is about an art student named Karou in Prague, Czech. She doesn’t know who her parents are or where she is from. She has a sketchbook were she draws these creatures. Something that no one knows is that her foster father is a creature and he has raised her. She also runs errands for him and she has no idea what he does with the things she brings to him.

If you have only read the first book and didn’t enjoy it try reading the second book because I understood the first book better after I did so.

Individual Book Ratings:

Book 1: 3/5

Book 2: 5/5

Book 3: 3/5 – Didn’t really enjoy the ending

  • This probably going to be my only series review on here because when i started this blog I had already read the first two book ,but I wanted to review the last book so I just did it in a series.
